Whether you’re young or old, you’re always the right age to invest in your future by furthering (or beginning) your education at SMCC.
This year marks Smoky Mountains Community College's 35th year, having been founded in 1974 and begun serving the community in 1977 from its initial location in Cocke County, Tennessee. Since that time, the College has adapted to the needs of the community, offering courses as diverse as Animal Husbandry and Web Design and Web Marketing.
Aside from the main campus, SMCC offers students e-learning opportunities on the World Wide Web as well as courses at various off-site locations, including the National Guard Armory and the employee break room at Walmart (except on Tuesdays).
NOTE: In the fall, Saturday classes are always suspended until after the end of the UT Football season. Go Vols!
SMCC is mostly accredited by the Commission of Higher Education of the Larger Cocke County Area Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. And the three or four Associate Degrees offered at SMCC are becoming more and more accepted as legitimate degrees in many other states. In addition, the College offers many transfer-based programs, with direct credit transfers to the Rigmaster program at Nashville Auto Diesel College and Nossi School of Art & Design in Nashville.
Consider furthering your education and expanding your world view today by attending classes at Smoky Mountains Community College!!! |
